Who we are

Passport Photo Code operates passportphotocode.com. For data protection questions or to exercise your rights, email support@passportphotocode.com.

Information we collect

• The photograph you choose to upload and processed versions of it.
• Your email address, photo reference and order reference.
• Technical and security data such as request time, browser/platform information, IP address and server logs.
• Messages you send to customer support.

Why we use it

We use this information to process and check your photo, create your digital photo and Photo Code, deliver the result, prevent abuse, secure the service and respond to support enquiries. We rely primarily on performance of the service you request. Security logging and service protection are based on our legitimate interests. Where consent is required, we ask for it separately.

Photo and account retention

Photos and processed image files are normally deleted within 48 hours. Operational records and security logs may be kept for a limited period where necessary to resolve problems, prevent misuse or meet legal obligations. Support correspondence may be retained while the issue is active and for a reasonable period afterwards.

Who receives the data

We use infrastructure and photo-processing providers acting on our instructions. We do not sell your photo or use it for advertising. We do not use uploaded passport photos to train public AI models. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect users and the service.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we use an appropriate UK transfer mechanism and safeguards as required by data protection law.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability, and you may withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Contact us using the email above. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

A parent or responsible adult should use this service for a child. We process a child’s image only to provide the requested passport photo service.

Security

We use HTTPS, restricted access and short retention to reduce risk. No internet service can promise absolute security, so download your result promptly and do not share the Photo Code publicly.
